Datamation Systems, the developers of FINAC business accounting solutions were awarded the contract to streamline the business processes and operational procedures and work flow automation.
The software provided included, Import Costing, the purchase and sales modules, inventory management, part assembling and disassembling (disassembling is a very  unique feature not available in standard packages), Debtors, Post Dated cheques and creditors.

FINAC was also modified to interface with a third part accounting package and the project was successfully completed on schedule, most importantly Finac coped up with a rapid and changing business expansion of Richardsons Projects.

AMCO the parent company of Serendib Bookshop has a history of over ten years in the business, and is responsible for importing a variety of books to Sri Lanka and distributing them island wide. The Serendib Book shop was established this year. It has over 20 employees and has over 5,000 items in its inventory. Their items range from stationary, books, magazines to games.

Standard Trading one of Sri Lanka’s leading tea export companies awarded Datamation Systems the contract to install FiNAC an ERP Solution (Enterprise Resource Planning Solution) for tea exporters.
The main objective was to have better edge on competitors in trade fairs, Exhibitions etc., Pre plan purchasing (Tea, Packing material), Organize labour, Storage and production planning, Optimise working capitol, Monitor daily production, Storage, Bank loans, Creditors payment, Buyer payment, Uncollected DO’s etc.
The system computerised included inventory management (Packing materials FIFO), Sales & Costing, General Ledger, Debtors, Creditors, Payroll, Tea system (Quotation, Contract, Courier & Import Modules), Tea outlets and Shipping system.
The system is divided into 13 modules to cover the operational areas as well as buyer handling to optimise the staff resources.
FiNAC software was successfully installed within three months of the award and it’s now operating live. Datamation Systems ability to customize the software for the tea industry to meet the unique needs of the client provides the client a competitive edge.
The Finac Tea software solution has been partially implemented in modules by several large Tea exporters including George Stuearts, Imperial Teas, Gokal and Ceylon Tea Marketing.

Tokyo Cement group, Sri Lanka’s no.1 cement supplier, with a portfolio of brands such as MITSUI, ATLAS, SAMUDRA and POZZALANA, have installed and implemented a total FINAC integrated solution in all their companies and subsidiaries including Ready Mix and Samudra Cement.

The group has linked their operations, located in Trincomalee, Colombo Port and the Ready Mix plant, to the head office to enable group consolidation and centralized control.

For example, invoicing takes place at Trincomalee and credit limits are set in Colombo for the Trincomalee customers. Invoices are transferred along with the trial balance for consolidation in Colombo. The final account consolidation is achieved through a hierarchical set of chart of accounts.

While the system remains updated online, at the various locations the flow of information to the head office also remains up to date using a very cost effective communication system.

This led to the confidence of the management, which eventually decided to award Datamation Systems, the providers of FINAC, to computerize each subsidiary and consolidate with the head office.
